Melissa Macgregor Joins Securities Industry Association’s Office Of General Counsel As Assistant Vice President And Assistant General Counsel

The Securities Industry Association (SIA) today announced the appointment of Melissa MacGregor as Assistant Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in its Washington, DC office. MacGregor comes to SIA from Crowell & Moring LLP, where she worked as an Associate in the Securities Regulatory & Enforcement Group. In this position, MacGregor served as an adviser to broker-dealers, investment advisers, and other financial services clients on SEC, NASD, and NYSE rule interpretations and industry practices.

“Melissa MacGregor has a considerable amount of experience that we are excited to tap into at SIA,” said SIA President, Marc Lackritz. “Her background representing a number of our members will make her a valuable addition to our legal department.”

Prior to her service at Crowell, MacGregor worked with Hammerman at the international law firm of Clifford Chance US LLP, where she was an Associate in the Securities Regulatory & Enforcement Defense Group.

MacGregor received her undergraduate degree in Government and History from St. Lawrence University and earned her juris doctorate at American University. She has bar memberships in both New York and the District of Columbia.
