MEFF Monthly Statistical Information – February 2001

2,800,977 contracts were traded on MEFF in February 2001, for a notional value of 43,022 million euros (PTA 7,2 Trn).

In the first two months of 2001, 5,044,225 contracts were traded as compared to 2,652,563 contracts in the equivalent period in 2000. Open interest at the end of February was 5,110,091.

The most actively traded stock options in the month were : Telefónica (1.284.812 contracts), BSCH (257.322), BBVA (195.462), Endesa (111.867), Repsol YPF (102.464), and Iberdrola (31.607).
