Mayor Rudolph Giuliani To Ring Out 2001 And Mayor-Elect Michael R. Bloomberg To Ring In New Year At NYSE

New York City's 107th Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, will ring The Closing Bell on Mon., Dec. 31 as a tribute to his 8 years of service to the City of New York.

Mayor-elect Michael R. Bloomberg, will ring The Opening Bell on Tues., Jan. 2 in celebration of becoming the City's 108th Mayor.

This is the first time in New York Stock Exchange history that outgoing and incoming mayors have rung consecutive bells to mark the end and beginning of their respective tenures.
