Share Trading in May
The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 3.8 billion, as compared to EUR 4.8 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 188,566, as compared to 208,607 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 804 billion, compared to EUR 1 025 billion in May 2007.
Derivatives Trading
The average daily trading volume in derivative products amounted to 629,131 contracts, as compared to 669,935 contracts during the past 12-month period. The average daily trading volume in share products was 327,293 contracts, as compared to 330,178 contracts during the past 12 month period. The average daily trading volume in index products were 207,825 contracts, compared to 230,877 contracts during the past 12-month period. Fixed-income derivatives traded 94,012 contracts, compared to 108,879 contracts during the past 12-month period.
