BM&F hosted on Tuesday, June the 12th, the second seminar “Nonresident investor relations with the Brazilian financial and capital markets”. The event was organized by BM&F, Bovespa, CBLC (Companhia Brasileira de Liquidação e Custódia), regulatory agencies, and market entities. The seminar’s objective is to present the operational, taxation, and regulatory aspects of the market, as well as the services offered to international investors by the Brazilian exchanges. BM&F transmitted the event via videoconference and internet streaming to participants in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Fortaleza, and Porto Alegre.
The seminar is part of the Best Brazil: Excellence in Securities Transactions initiative and promoted the operational mechanisms available to nonresident investors, as well as the support services offered by the institutions to market participants.
BM&F’s International and Government Relations director, João Lauro Amaral, highlighted the importance of BM&F discussing these issues with the market and seeking ways to increase foreign investment in Brazil: “This is an important bridge between nonresident investors and the Brazilian financial market”, he said.
