President of the mai, Mr. Vichate Tantiwanich, said that the mai has been cooperating with 14 leading securities companies to have research reports produced on all the mai stocks. 47 reports have so far been produced, covering all 26 mai stocks. These reports plus other useful information for investing on the mai are being disseminated via www.mai.or.th and www.settrade.com. All interested parties will thus have more useful resources for investing on the mai.
“Previously there were only a few in-depth reports on mai stocks available. Therefore, investors had limited analytical information and greater difficulty making comparisons between brokers’ analyses. Adding research on all 26 mai stocks will thus directly benefit people interested in the mai”, he noted.
As the mai President went on, “These research reports will contain fundamental information and operational performances, as well as the companies’ strengths and weaknesses. There will also be quarterly updates issued. This information is now available on www.settrade.com, on the “Research Reports” Menu, in the “Stock Research” sub-section.
“A central collection of listed companies’ profit valuations, known as the ‘Analyst Consensus’, will be a new pool of resources helpful to all interested parties. It will allow them to access important figures from various securities houses conveniently at a single location. They will learn better about mai listings by comparing analyses between brokers, which will be useful for their decision-making”.
“People interested in the ’Analyst Consensus’ can log onto www.settrade.com, and key in the stock code to get the comparative valuations from brokers. Alternatively they can log onto www.mai.or.th. The Consensus on mai stocks will be available from late May onwards,” Mr. Vichate concluded.
The securities companies participating in the mai stock research project are Adkinson Securities Pcl., Ayudhya Securities Pcl., Capital Nomura Securities Pcl., Globlex Securities, KGI Securities (Thailand) Pcl., Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) Pcl., Phillip Securities (Thailand) Pcl. Siam City Securities, Seamico Securities Pcl., SICCO Securities Pcl., Syrus Securities Pcl., TSEC Securities, UOB Kay Hian Securities (Thailand) Pcl., and United Securities Pcl.
