Share Trading in March
The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 2.5 billion, as compared to EUR 2.3 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 258,843 as compared to 229,314 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 694 billion, compared to EUR 399 billion in March 2009.
Derivatives Trading
The average daily trading volume in derivative products amounted to 505,711 contracts, as compared to 425,840 contracts during the past 12-month period. The average daily trading volume in share products was 238,365 contracts, as compared to 195,985 contracts during the past 12 month period. The average daily trading volume in index products was 182,677 contracts, compared to 139,893 contracts during the past 12-month period. Fixed-income derivatives traded 84,670 contracts, compared to 89,962 contracts during the past 12-month period.
