March 2006 saw all main WSE indices rise, but the index of the smallest companies – WIRR – was the one to increase the most.

From March 6 to March 14, 2006, the subscription rights of CAPITAL PARTNERS company (for shares of the C series) were listed on the Exchange.

From March 14 to March 23, 2006, the subscription rights of ALCHEMIA company (for shares of the D series) were listed on the Exchange.

On March 17, 2006, the allotment certificates of BYTOM company for ordinary bearer shares of the F series (abbreviated name BYTOM-PDA) were quoted on the Exchange for the first time.

From March 20, 2006, the shares of ORFE company were delisted from the WSE.

On March 20, 2006, an Exchange member changed its name from INTERNETOWY DOM MAKLERSKI SA to DOM MAKLERSKI IDM SA.

On March 21, 2006, the seventh remote Exchange member – KEPLER EQUITIES SOCIETE ANONYME – started its operational activity on the WSE.

On March 23, 2006, the allotment certificates of PBG company for ordinary bearer shares of the E series (abbreviated name PBG-PDA) were quoted on the Exchange for the last time.

From March 24, 2006, an additional mechanism for limiting price variation – so called dynamic price ranges – was introduced.

On March 24, 2006, the index of the smallest companies – WIRR – for the first time ever exceeded at closing of the trading session the level of 8,000 pts, reaching 8,028.86 pts.

On March 28, 2006, 1-year bearer bonds of the A122 (BPH S.A.) series, maturing on April 13, 2006 (BPHOB0406), were quoted on the Exchange for the last time.

On March 28, 2006, 5-year T-bonds with fixed interest, maturing on May 24, 2011 (abbreviated name PS0511) were traded on the Exchange for the last time.

On March 29, 2006, the allotment certificates of GLOBE TRADE CENTRE company for ordinary bearer shares of the G series (abbreviated name GTC-PDA) were quoted on the Exchange for the first time.

On March 31, 2006, 7,496,453 investment certificates of the A series, issued by BPH FUNDUSZ INWESTYCYJNY ZAMKNI?TY BEZPIECZNA INWESTYCJA 4 – closed-end investment fund – (abbreviated name BPHFIZBI4) were introduced to trading on the Exchange main market.

On March 31, 2006, the WIG-PL index for the first time exceeded at closing of the trading session the level of 40,000 pts, reaching 40,049.07 pts.

In March 2006, shares of the following companies were introduced to trading: KOELNER, COMPUTERLAND, SOKO?ÓW, NETIA, AGORA, TRAS – INTUR, DROZAPOL, BRE BANK, DUDA, PBG, GRUPA LOTOS, PEKAO and COMARCH.

Changes in the WSE indices

Following the trading session of March 17, 2006, the WSE performed the annual revision of the WIG20 and MIDWIG indices’ portfolios, as well as the quarterly revision of the portfolios of the TechWIG, WIG, WIRR, WIG-PL indices and the WIG sector sub-indices.
