Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia Berhad, Yusli Mohamed Yusoff said that the four-day investment fair is aimed at creating awareness on investment opportunities in the securities and derivatives industry specifically, and the Malaysian capital market in general.
"Bursa has been consistently pursuing this aim through our investor education efforts through roadshows and Investors' Week in previous years. Invest Malaysia 2004 is a larger extension of our efforts in creating awareness amongst retail investors on opportunities and ‘know-hows’ on investing. As with all our investor education efforts, admission to the investment fair, is free."
INVEST Malaysia 2004 will constitute an exhibition by over 40 public listed companies and investment organizations, daily educational talks, daily corporate briefings by public listed companies and the Click n’ Trade derivatives trading game.
"INVEST Malaysia 2004 is about showcasing the diversity of value investments, profiling Malaysian companies and promoting 'smart' investing habits. With all these offered for free, retail investors should take this opportunity to learn and familiarize themselves with equities and derivatives investment," Yusli said.
