In response to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024, FSA and Local Finance Bureaus take countermeasures as follows.
Establishment of Financial Services Agency Consultation Hotline for the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024
In light of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024, the Financial Services Agency set up a consultation hotline as shown below in order to accept queries from affected people regarding which counter at financial institutions to contact or to provide consultation concerning transactions with financial institutions.

This hotline is for inquiries and consultations on transactions with private financial institutions related to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024. Toll-free numbers are available free of charge.

Requests to related financial institutions
- The Director of the Kanto Local Finance Bureau, Hokuriku Local Finance Bureau and the Branch Manager of Kanazawa Branch of the Bank of Japan jointly sent requests to related financial institutions located in Niigata, Toyama, Fukui, and Ishikawa prefectures, titled "Financial Countermeasures for the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024. The requests include the withdrawal of deposit through flexible process as well as the payment of life and non-life insurance as soon as possible.(Japanese version)
