The Celsius New Zealand Income Fund (Series 1) lists on the NZSX Market today.
The Celsius Fund, made up of a basket of global shares, is structured as a portfolio investment entity (PIE) and was designed specifically for the New Zealand market.
John Rowley, Head of Macquarie Financial Services Group New Zealand said, “In uncertain times, tax effective, income generating strategies such as this are an attractive way to reduce risk and increase net returns for investors.
“Despite market volatility, I am personally delighted that Celsius has completed its initial capital raising. In conjunction with Barclays, we have ambitious plans to grow this Celsius Fund through the on-going subscription service and we also have plans to bring more of this type of innovative product to market.”
The fund raised $6.5 million from the initial public offering and investors will have the continued ability to acquire new units in the fund through the ongoing subscription facility.
NZX Products Group Manager, Geoff Brown said, “It is positive to see the Celsius Fund come to market today, broadening the range of products available to New Zealand investors.”
Shares in Celsius will be quoted on the NZSX Market under the security code CEI from 11am today.
