Deutsche Börse has further expanded its XTF segment for exchange-traded index funds (ETFs) on the pan-European Xetra trading platform.
A further exchange-traded fund issued by Lyxor Asset Management, a subsidiary of Société Générale, has been tradable in XTF since Wednesday.
The new product enables investors to enter into exposures in Ibovespa, the benchmark index of the Brazilian stock exchange Bovespa.
The Lyxor ETF Brazil (ISIN: FR0010408799) enables private and institutional investors to participate in the performance of 50 large and well-known Brazilian companies from almost all sectors. In 2006, turnover in the XTF segment was up 45 percent year-on-year to total EUR 66.7 billion, while assets under management rose by 77 percent to reach a record high of EUR 47.6 billion. A total of 184 index funds are currently listed in the XTF segment.
This product offering, together with an average monthly trading volume of over EUR 5 billion, makes Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment Europe’s leading trading venue for ETFs.
