LSEG today announced that it is bringing its trusted, licensed data and analytics into Gemini Enterprise through its Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector, enabling secure, governed access to AI-ready financial content.
Gemini Enterprise is Google Cloud’s end-to-end system for the agentic era, built for agents that can execute complex, multi-step work processes.
The collaboration between LSEG and Google Cloud is designed to help financial institutions connect market data, timely news and analytics directly into workflows, while maintaining governance and enterprise-grade controls.
The MCP connector enables access to a broad range of financial content, including pricing, macroeconomics, fundamentals, news, forecasts and estimates, alongside financial analytical models. This helps users accelerate contextual research, strengthen market monitoring and risk workflows.
Emily Prince, Group Head of Enterprise AI at LSEG, said:
“Financial institutions are looking to move faster with AI. By bringing LSEG’s trusted data into Gemini Enterprise through MCP, we are enabling turn-key access to trusted financial content within the environments where they already work.”
Graham Drury, Financial Services Director, UK, Google Cloud, said:
“The most effective AI agents are only as good as the data they can access. By integrating LSEG’s financial data into Gemini Enterprise via the Model Context Protocol, we are removing the friction between raw information and actionable insight. This collaboration allows financial institutions to build sophisticated, data-driven agents all within a secure, enterprise-grade environment.”
