London Stock Exchange welcomed Canadian mining firm Wheaton Precious Metals to the Main Market today. Trading in the company's Common Shares commenced at 08.00 a.m. GMT, under the ticker "LSE:WPM".
- Wheaton Precious Metals is the largest mining listing by market capitalisation in London since 2011.
- It is the largest Canadian company by market capitalisation to have ever listed in London - across all sectors.
- Since the start of 2018, there have been 13 Canadian listings in London, including Wheaton Precious Metals, making a total of 28 companies worth a combined USD30.4 billion.
- Wheaton Precious Metals is now the second largest precious metals-focused company by market capitalisation listed in London.
- Wheaton Precious Metals is the first major mining streaming company to list in London since Anglo Pacific Group in 1996.
