London Stock Exchange To Observe Two Minute Silence

Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the London Stock Exchange will show its respect by observing a two minute silence from 11:30am on Tuesday 9 April 2002, coinciding with the start of the funeral service.

For the duration of the silence, the Exchange will halt all trading on its markets. As a result, automatic execution will be suspended and member firms have been asked to refrain from trading during this period.
