Date 14/09/2016

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) today announces that Andrea Munari will step down from the Board of London Stock Exchange Group plc ( “the Board”)  and that Andrea Sironi will join the LSEG plc Board as a Non-Executive Director, on 1 October 2016

Mr. Munari has been a Non-Executive Director since October 2007 and has served as a member of both the Audit and Risk Committees.

Andrea Sironi has been Chairman of Borsa Italiana SpA since January 2016. He has served as Rector of Bocconi University in Milan since 2012 and is a Professor of Banking and Finance.

As announced on 1 June 2016, Mr. Munari was proposed to be appointed as a non-executive director of HLDCO123 plc (“HoldCo”), the new UK holding company which will implement the recommended all-share merger between LSEG and Deutsche Börse AG.  As a result of Mr. Munari’s retirement from the LSEG Board, Andrea Sironi will be appointed as a non-executive director of HoldCo in place of Mr. Munari.

Donald Brydon, Chairman of London Stock Exchange Group plc, commented:

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Andrea Munari for his valuable contribution over the past nine years during a period of significant development and expansion for the Group. The Board has benefited greatly from his deep financial experience and I look forward to working with Andrea Sironi when he joins the Board later this year.”
