London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has acquired ownership of Beyond Ratings. Beyond Ratings is a highly regarded provider of smart data and analytics that enable Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) integration into fixed income, complementing traditional credit analysis.
Client demand for research-driven cross-asset solutions to integrate sustainability considerations into investment strategies, risk management, and stewardship approaches continues to grow. Leveraging Beyond Ratings’ innovative research and sustainable investment (SI) expertise, we believe that this acquisition will help us to deliver additional choice, greater innovation and added value for our clients.
Our combined FTSE Russell and Beyond Ratings capabilities, incorporating FTSE Russell’s leading global equity SI solutions, position us well with an enhanced ability to provide clients with:
- A leading fixed income sustainable investment data set and analytics;
- a new sustainable fixed income index offering, based on established benchmarks that are trusted and widely-followed by the investment community;
- a deeper set of sustainability data, smart risk and climate metrics, as well the underlying models;
- a broader choice of ESG integration solutions across both equity and fixed income.
With this acquisition, Beyond Ratings becomes part of a leading markets investments infrastructure group with a global presence and strong international client base. Beyond Ratings will sit within LSEG’s Information Services Division (ISD), which also includes FTSE Russell, and will operate as a contained business within the ISD.
