London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse Alliance Continues

The London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse have sharply rejected a report in the German Newspaper Handelsblatt on the status of the talks between the two exchanges on the implementation of a pan-European stock market. The exchanges said in a joint press release that they were progressing work together with six other European exchanges in taking the project forward. In June the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse announced harmonised trading hours for their markets as of 20 September. "In the coming months we shall be making further announcements but will not comment on the status of what we are doing." The exchanges said.
