London Metal Exchange May 2003 Volume

The London Metal Exchange traded a total of 5,783, 600 lots in May 2003. This figure was made up of 5, 528, 587 lots of futures, 232, 371 lots of options and 22, 642 lots of TAPOs.

During the year to date, 28, 258, 760 lots were traded of which 26, 916, 729 lots were futures, 1, 288, 652 lots were options and 53, 379 lots were TAPOs. In the corresponding period in 2002 24, 714, 162 lots were traded of which 23, 557, 121 lots were futures, 1, 069, 930 lots were options and 87, 113 lots were TAPOs.
