The London Metal Exchange (LME) market open interest surged to 2.67 million lots on 3 November 2011, reaching a new record for the Exchange. The previous record was set in December 2008 with 2.57 million lots of open interest.
The annual average daily volume is 576,000 lots, an increase of 21% from the corresponding period last year
