LME Integrates Plastics Futures Content Into LME.Com

The LME has today re-launched its website www.lme.com to integrate information relating to the launch of plastics futures contracts for Polypropylene (PP) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LL) in May 2005.

The website now includes:

Detailed contract specifications for both new contracts

Information about brand and warehouse listing requirements

General plastics industry information and

Details about plastics roadshow and events

In addition to this, lme.com now also features the LME's Plastics Community, an area designed to facilitate the mutual sharing of information between the wide ranging sectors of the thermoplastics and non-ferrous metals industries. This web based service allows registered users to view contact details of industry players by sector via a highly secure username and password protected facility. Those who have registered with the Community will receive regular email newsletters from the LME on the plastics futures contracts, educational material and other information relating to the contracts' launch.

Post launch activity on the site will include the publishing of PP and LL price information, historical data and price graphs on the website.
