Sir Robert has been involved in the world of mining and metals with Rio Tinto for 30 years, and has been at the forefront of many major developments at the company in that time. His wide experience of business in a variety of sectors, for example he is also a non-executive director of BP Amoco and Diageo plc, give him a unique perspective on the factors driving commercial change in the early part of the new millennium.
As the LME, the world's largest non-ferrous metals exchange, is preparing to undertake significant change in the way it operates to reinforce and enhance its position, tyhe are grateful that someone of Sir Robert's stature and reputation has agreed to be their speaker.
