Ljubljanska Stock Exchange Turnover SIT17.1 Billion in April

After reaching over SIT20 billion per month in the first quarter of 1999, turnover declined in April to SIT17.1 billion and was much lower than March's turnover of SIT24.3 billion. The total turnover on the Exchange in the first four months of this year amounted to SIT87.7 billion and outperformed the same period in 1998 by 138%. In April, 95 block trades were reported by Exchange members, compared to 60 in March. The value of block trades represented 48% of the total turnover in April 1999 compared to 28% in March and was well above the 1998 average of 37%. In the first four months of this year 2999 block trades with a total value of SIT34.6 billion were reported by the members. They represented 39% of the total turnover, slightly above the 1998 average.
