Are Germans grouches when it comes to share? This and other questions surrounding the topic of shares will be answered live by Prof. Rüdiger von Rosen at the Internet forum of the Berlin Stock Exchange. on Tuesday, June 19th 2007. For the 18th time the Berlin Stock Exchange offers interested users the opportunity to chat with an expert in its forum. Prof. von Rosen is the managing director of the Deutsches Aktieninstituts e.V. (DAI) and author as well as editor of books and articles about capital market politics, capital market law, corporate governance, old-age provisions and currency questions. This spectrum of topics promises to provoke a large array of questions.
The Internet forum of the Berlin Stock Exchange is now just under one year old. Complemented by regular live chats it has developed very well. 700 registered users and 20 – 30 participants in the regular live chats – that is the interim balance so far.. The chat themes “exchange trading of funds” and „social responsibility of companies“ generated the largest response. Marc Tüngler of the Deutsche Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz, DSW, was also very busy – he answered questions about investment strategies and the final withholding tax. Users were also very interested to hear the opinion of our expert for mining stocks, Dr. Joachim Berlenbach, who joined us live from South Africa.
Users of the Internet forum are now offered a new service, to subscribe to an RSS feed. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an electronic news format, that enables users to order contents of a web page. Subscribers can receive data streams regarding specific themes as well as a theme calendar.
Our live chats take place at intervals of two weeks, always from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm. The expert chat with Prof. Rüdiger von Rosen is an additional date. The next regular chat date is the 21st June 2007. Then the question, whether an investment in regenerative energies is worthwhile, will be dealt with. Dr. Norbert Alnoch from the Internationales Wirtschaftsforum Regenerative Energien (IWR) will be the expert.
