Littelfuse Inc. Added to S&P SmallCap 600 Index

Littelfuse Inc. (NASD:LFUS) will replace Staten Island Bancorp Inc. (NYSE:SIB) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of trading on Monday, April 12, 2004. Staten Island Bancorp is being acquired by S&P MidCap 400 constituent Independence Community Bank Corp. (NASD:ICBC) in a transaction anticipated to close on or about that date. Littelfuse makes and sells fuses and other circuit protection devices for use in the electronic, automotive and general industrial markets. The company, headquartered in Des Plaines, IL, will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Electronic Equipment Manufacturers Sub-Industry Index.
