Listed Exchanges Experience Solid Q3 Performance - FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index Rises 13.2% in September

The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index rose by 12.8 percent in Q3 2010 compared to a rise of 8.7 percent during the same quarter in 2009 and a fall of 9.6% in Q2 2010.

The best performer in Q3 was the Philippine Stock Exchange whose share price rose 63.8%. The CME Group experienced a fall of 7.5% in its share price in Q3.

The Index*, which aims to reflect market sentiment and is a key indicator of exchanges performance, saw a 13.2 percent increase in September.

The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index best performer by capital returns in US dollars was the Philippine Stock Exchange with a 48.1 per cent increase in share price from 31 August 2010 to 30 September 2010.

The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index worst performer by capital returns in US dollars was Bolsa y Mercado Espanoles with a 2.6 per cent increase in share price from 31 August 2010 to 30 September 2010.
