Liquidnet Europe Announces Appointment Of Non-Executive Director To Board - Thierry Sciard Brings Over 30 Years Of Fixed Income Expertise

Liquidnet, the global institutional trading network, today announced the appointment of Thierry Sciard as a non-executive director to the board of Liquidnet Europe. In his new role, Thierry will draw from more than thirty years of experience in the fixed income markets to assist the continued growth of Liquidnet's fixed income trading platform which currently has over 160 global buy-side Members and six sell-side traders signed-up.

Commenting on Thierry's appointment, Mark Pumfrey, Head of Liquidnet Europe said, "We believe that Thierry's wealth of experience in fixed income as well as his industry relationships will be instrumental in further driving our growth in this space."

Thierry began his career in Fixed Income at Bank of America as head of French Bond and Futures Trading; after which he held multiple senior roles at Citigroup in Global Fixed Income and Treasury. Most recently Thierry was Managing Principal at StormHarbour Partners where he was jointly responsible for the governance of the partnership, coverage of relationships with senior clients, and development of the alternative asset management of the firm.

Prior to this, Thierry was Global Head of Alternatives and Solutions Division at Fortis Investments where he oversaw the investment activities of 11 operation centres, managing over €85bn assets under management. Between 2005 and 2008, Thierry was Head of Investment Management Division, Europe and Middle East, Lehman Brothers Europe where he was responsible for the bank's strategic development in the regions. Before Lehman, Thierry was Global Head of Capital Markets Divisions at Calyon where he oversaw all capital markets activities in cash and derivatives across multiple asset classes including rates and credit.
