LIFFE to list Freeserve plc Individual Equity Options.

The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) announced that it will be adding Freeserve plc equity options to its current suite for trading on and from Monday 2nd August 1999. Freeserve plc, the UK's largest internet service provider, has already demonstrated the considerable demand for this type of company. By the end of its first day of trading, the share price had risen to a premium of 37% on the initial offer price as large and small investors actively sought to obtain shares in the Dixons subsidiary.
LIFFE's individual equity options have seen a year to date increase of 20% over last year in volume traded since switching from open outcry trading to LIFFE's new automated trading system, LIFFE CONNECTâ„¢. Similarly, Freeserve plc options will be traded on LIFFE CONNECTâ„¢, increasing the number of individual equity options to 83.
