The two, five and ten-year Swapnote contracts were launched on Tuesday 20 March 2001. On 23 May 2001 a new trading day volume record of 33,870 contracts was set, and the cumulative volume of the three contracts broke through the half million barrier in less than 45 days of trading. A total of 521,002 contracts have traded since launch and open interest in all three contracts has increased to 81,663, representing an underlying value of ?8.2 billion. The ten-year contract has attracted most interest trading an average daily volume of 13,556 over the past ten days with open interest of 40,459.
