LIFFE Appoints New Managing Director Of Marketing And Development

The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) is pleased to announce that Mr. Dan Casey has been appointed as the Exchange's Managing Director of Marketing and Development. Hugh Freedberg, LIFFE's Chief Executive, said, "After going through a period of enormous change over the last year, LIFFE is now moving on to the next stage where we will be focusing on growing our business, particularly through the distribution and further development of LIFFE CONNECT™. I'm delighted that Dan is joining LIFFE as his experience and business development skills will be a great asset at a time when we are intent on accelerating the growth of the business." Mr Casey joins LIFFE from mpct Solutions where he has been Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this he spent 12 years with Dow Jones/Telerate, where his appointments included Managing Director and Deputy Chairman, Europe, Middle East and Africa; General Manager, UK and Ireland and Deputy Managing Director, Asia Pacific. Before Dow Jones/Telerate, Mr Casey spent 19 years with Reuters, initially in technical and field service engineering, moving on to dealing room consultancy for the UK and Scandinavia, and sales management in Asia.
