Hugh Freedberg, LIFFE's Chief Executive, said, "LIFFE is making a transition into two businesses and we are bringing together sales and marketing activities for the LIFFE exchange, and incorporating Non-Financial Products into this new structure, under Simon's leadership. I am delighted that Simon is joining LIFFE as his knowledge and experience in the equity products, fixed income and commodities markets will be a great asset to the Exchange as we move forward."
Mr Raybould joins LIFFE from Barclays Capital where he was most recently Managing Director, responsible for the global marketing of exchange traded products and the implementation of the internet distribution. Prior to Barclays Capital Simon Raybould's experience was gained with NatWest ; the stock jobbers Bisgood Bishop; ED & F Man, and the commodity brokers S Figgis in Asia. He is a graduate in Economics of the University of Western Australia. He represented Barclays Capital on the SIMEX Board, and, more recently, on the Deutsche Böerse clearing panel.
