Lehman Brothers International And Deutsche Bank Start Trading On The Copenhagen Stock Exchange On 18 June And At The Beginning Of July

Date 16/06/2003

Lehman Brothers International and Deutsche Bank, two of the major players in the European equity market, start trading on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange on 18 June and at the beginning of July, when the last formalities have been completed.

Out of the 47 exchange members on the equity market 18 will be remote members trading actively from their offices abroad.

CFO Jan Ovesen said: "International interest in Danish shares has increased in recent years and the remote members' market share amounts to 17 per cent of total share trading. With the two new active member firms we expect that even more internationally oriented investors will be present on the Danish equity market and thus improve liquidity."

In the trading system Lehman Brothers International will have the short name LBI and Deutsche Bank will have the short name DBL, where 'L' stands for London.
