LCH.Clearnet Merger Completes

Euronext NV welcomes the announcement by The London Clearing House ("LCH") that the merger of LCH and Clearnet has been completed yesterday as scheduled to create Europe's leading provider of clearing and central counterparty services.

Jean-François Théodore, Chief Executive of Euronext said: "This deal will deliver significant benefits to customers in some of Europe's most important securities markets. We have unlocked significant value for Euronext shareholders, while retaining an important share of the enhanced growth prospects for Clearnet as part of a larger, more international group."
