R.J. O’Brien & Associates (RJO), the nation’s oldest and largest independent futures brokerage and clearing firm, announced that Lawrence Latimer, a 25-year veteran in institutional futures and options brokerage, has just joined the firm as Senior Vice President, Institutional Brokerage.
Latimer, 48, joins RJO after 13 years at Credit Suisse, where he was a Director, managing the firm’s Chicago-based futures and options sales group for institutional accounts globally. Previously, he was an Executive Vice President with LFG from 1997 to 1999, responsible for all sales and trading. He spent 10 years at HSBC Futures Inc., where he was Vice President, managing the bank’s institutional and proprietary bond and options trading at the Chicago Board of Trade. He began his career as a Vice President at Merrill Lynch, handling large customer and house accounts in the OEX pit at the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
