Launch Of Investor Relations Professionals Association - Singapore

Singapore saw the launch of its first professionals association for investor relations practitioners today. The Investor Relations Professionals Association (Singapore) (IRPAS) was established by a founding group of 16 Charter Members, comprising investor relations officers (IROs) and other senior executives from companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). These comprise Allco (Singapore) Limited; CapitaLand Limited; COSCO Corporation (Singapore) Ltd; Keppel Land International Limited; MAE Engineering Ltd; Neptune Orient Lines Ltd; SembCorp Industries Ltd; SembCorp Marine Ltd; Singapore Exchange Limited; Singapore Telecommunications Limited; SMRT Corporation Ltd; StarHub Ltd; Surface Mount Technology (Holdings) Limited; Thai Beverage Public Company Limited; United Overseas Bank Limited; and United Test and Assembly Centre Ltd.

Formed by IROs for IROs, IRPAS will provide a platform for practitioners to exchange views and share experiences, as well as organise regular professional development programmes in investor relations (IR). Through this process, the association hopes to help members achieve greater industry recognition, promote best practices, and set the pace for progress in this field.
