The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announces that it has established the SFC Women’s Network to enhance professional development and inspire women for leadership roles in the SFC.
The Women’s Network provides a platform for staff, both female and male, to interact and to participate in events, training and other activities which promote interest in and knowledge of women’s leadership.
"The Women’s Network is a forum for dealing with the specific hurdles which are often faced by women when moving up the career ladder and fulfilling their potential," said Mr Ashley Alder, the SFC's Chief Executive Officer. "In addition, it will help ensure the SFC remains a preferred employer for professionals regardless of gender."
The SFC is the first statutory body in Hong Kong to set up a women’s group for staff. As of 30 September, 68% of SFC staff are women and 47% of staff at the Director grade and above are female.
