Euronext.liffe's Chairman, Andre Villeneuve, said: "Catherine has professional experience of derivatives, has wide international experience and is a tenacious campaigner for parents' and children's rights. We are delighted she has accepted our invitation to join the Euronext.liffe Board and are looking forward to working with her."
Catherine Meyer's appointment marks her return to derivatives markets, in which she worked after graduating from the University of London. She began her career at Merrill Lynch, Pierce Fenner & Smith as an Account Executive handling commodity accounts. She then moved to Dean Witter where she wrote a guide to the London Metal Exchange Option market and from there to EF Hutton Inc., where she became one of the firm's top producers.
Lady Meyer speaks five languages. She is the Founder of PACT (Parents and Children Abducted Together) and the author of They Are My Children, Too.
