The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 10,172 points at the end of September, an increase of 502.8 points from the closing value at the end of August. The weighted index reached 522.83 points at the end of September, an increase of 20.13 points from the closing value at the end of August.
Volume of trading in September was 3,217,466,000 shares, an increase of 82.5% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in September was KWD 1,335,957,160 an increase of 78% over the previous month's value. There were 116,721 transactions in September, a decrease of 40% over the previous month's number of transactions.
169 companies were traded in September. Of the traded companies, 142 increased in price and 26 decreased in price.
The market capitalisation of the exchange at end September was KWD 30,893,920,000.
