Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For September 2005

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 10,233.3 points at the end of September, an increase of 591 points from the closing value at the end of August. The weighted index reached 512.11 points at the end of September, an increase of 27.33 points from the closing value at the end of August.

Volume of trading in September was 5,861,925,000 shares, an increase of 14.7% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in September was KWD 2,825,591,965 an increase of 12.5% over the previous month's value. There were 193,747 transactions in September, an increase of 4.9 % over the previous month's number of transactions.

152 companies were traded in September. Of the traded companies, 108 increased in price and 42 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end September was KWD 32,199,608,000.
