Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For September 2003

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 4,359.5 points at the end of September 2003, an increase of 416.6 points from the closing value at the end of August, 2003. The weighted index reached 269.25 points at the end of September, an increase of 19.66 points from the closing value at the end of the previous month.

The value traded in September was KWD 2,173,287,120 an increase of 115.64% over the previous month's value. There were 123,501 transactions in September, a decrease of 74.95 % over the previous month.

There were 108 listed companies at end September. The shares of 102 companies were traded in September. In September of the traded companies, 92 increased in price and 10 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end September was KWD 16,082,084.
