Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For May 2000

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1455.3 points at the end of May, an increase of 54.3 points from the closing value at the end of April.

Volume of trading in May was 1,375,995,000 shares, an increase of 31.33% over the April volume. The value traded in May was KWD282,230,870 an increase of 63.17% over the April trading value. There were 35,840 transactions in May, an increase of 61.05% over April.

There were 85 listed companies at end May. The shares of 76 companies were traded in May. In May of the trade companies, 48 increased in price, 23 decreased in price and 5 companies registered no change.
