The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 10,221 points at the end of March, an increase of 469.1 points from the closing value at the end of February. The weighted index reached 591.6 points at the end of March, an increase of 42.65 points from the closing value at the end of February.
Volume of trading in March was 5,241,993,000 shares, an increase of 129% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in March was KWD 2,803,143,465 an increase of 117% over the previous month's value. There were 169,621 transactions in March, an increase of 101% over the previous month's number of transactions.
174 companies were traded in March. Of the traded companies, 100 increased in price and 73 decreased in price.
The market capitalisation of the exchange at end March was KWD 32,126,846,000.
