Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For March 2005

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 7,869.1, points at the end of March, an increase of 1,127.7 points from the closing value at the end of February. The weighted index reached 409.10 points at the end of March, an increase of 53.22 points from the closing value at the end of February.

Volume of trading in March was 5,769,637,500 shares, an increase of 180.71% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in March was KWD 3,056,530,355 an increase of 189.73% over the previous month's value. There were 178,461 transactions in March, an increase of 176.46% over the previous month's number of transactions.

134 companies were traded in March. Of the traded companies, 75 increased in price and 57 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end March was KWD 25,305,615,000.
