Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For June 2005

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 8,811.3 points at the end of June, an increase of 511.4 points from the closing value at the end of May. The weighted index reached 452.98 points at the end of June, an increase of 33.92 points from the closing value at the end of May.

Volume of trading in June was 4,283,904,000 shares, an increase of 10% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in June was KWD 2,466,510,185 an increase of 4.6% over the previous month's value. There were 169,809 transactions in June, an increase of 3% over the previous month's number of transactions.

144 companies were traded in June. Of the traded companies, 103 increased in price and 38 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end June was KWD 28,254,062,000.
