Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For June 2004

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 5,455.7 points at the end of June, an increase of 173.6 points from the closing value at the end of May. The weighted index reached 293.7 points at the end of June, an increase of 2.57 points from the closing value at the end of May.

Volume of trading in June was 2,584,424,500 shares, a decrease of 6.51% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in June was KWD 1,131,596,710 an increase of 6.30% over the previous month's value. There were 85,754 transactions in June, an increase of 2.69% over the previous month's number of transactions.

Of the 111 listed companies, 110 were traded in June. Of the traded companies, 83 increased in price and 26 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end June was KWD 17,924,972,000.
