Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For June 2001

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1,685.1 points at the end of June, an increase of 109.9 points from the closing value at the end of May.

Volume of trading in June was 2,432,515,000 shares, an increase of 83.36% over the May volume. The value traded in June was KWD 424,255,390 an increase of 64.46 % over the May trading value. There were 50,305 transactions in June, an increase of 58.01% over the May figure.

There were 86 listed companies at end June. The shares of 86 companies were traded in June. In June of the traded companies, 74 increased in price, 9 decreased in price and 3 companies registered no change.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end June was KWD 7,863,901,000.
