Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For June 2000

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1416.5 points at the end of June, a decrease of 38.8 points from the closing value at the end of May.

Volume of trading in June was 463,397,500 shares, a decrease of 66.32% over the May volume. The value traded in June was KWD91,274,730 a decrease of 67.66% over the May trading value. There were 11,573 transactions in June, a decrease of 67.70 % over May.

There were 85 listed companies at end June. The shares of 73 companies were traded in June. In June of the traded companies, 19 increased in price, 49 decreased in price and 5 companies registered no change.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end June was KWD5,973,867,000.
