Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For July 2005

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 8,973.1 points at the end of July, an increase of 161.8 points from the closing value at the end of June. The weighted index reached 467.47 points at the end of July, an increase of 14.49 points from the closing value at the end of June.

Volume of trading in July was 3,406,069,000 shares, a decrease of 20.5% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in July was KWD 1,870,649,745 a decrease of 24.2% over the previous month's value. There were 133,512 transactions in July, a decrease of 21.4 % over the previous month's number of transactions.

148 companies were traded in July. Of the traded companies, 103 increased in price and 38 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end July was KWD 29,330,591,000.
