Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For July 2003

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 3,702.4 points at the end of July 2003, an increase of 111.9 points from the closing value at the end of June. The weighted index reached 239.07 points at the end of July, an increase of 9.46 points from the closing value at the end of June.

Volume of trading in July was 3,073,264,500 shares, a decrease of 47.81 % over the June volume. The value traded in July was KWD 1,021,631,320 a decrease of 51.19 % over the June trading value. There were 77,236 transactions in July, a decrease of 43.64 % over the June figure.

There were 108 listed companies at end July. The shares of 97 companies were traded in July. In July of the traded companies, 22 increased in price and 75 decreased in price.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end July was KWD 14,235,024.
