Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For July 2001

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 1,692.4 points at the end of July, an increase of 7.3 points from the closing value at the end of June.

Volume of trading in July was 2,365,398,000 shares, a decrease of 2.76% over the June volume. The value traded in July was KWD 536,850,495 an increase of 26.54 % over the June trading value. There were 52,720 transactions in July, an increase of 4.80% over the June figure.

There were 86 listed companies at end July. The shares of 84 companies were traded in July. In July of the traded companies, 55 increased in price, 27 decreased in price and 2 companies registered no change.

The market capitalisation of the exchange at end July was KWD 8,355,067,000.
